Before York Fashion Week, I walked past the Seasalt Cornwall a few times and looked longingly at the gorgeous colours in the window. The vivid and classic shades of blue, red, and yellow immediately transported me to the coast. I could close my eyes and dream of visiting coastal towns here in England.

Being a hopeless romantic at heart, I thought of myself strolling in a flowing dress or skirt down a cobblestoned street while hearing waves and seagulls. I could sit reading some classically sappy novel and having the perfect holiday.

Therefore, when I learned that I would be spending the evening shopping here as a York Fashion Week Ambassador, I was overjoyed! I could live out my English holiday fantasy, even if I was actually only in a store in York’s city centre. Before arriving, I made sure to do some research, visiting Seasalt’s website and looking at their social media. In doing so, I could have a better idea of how the company wanted their clothes styled. By doing this research, I came into the shop more confident about the products and had a better idea of what was my own personal style.

When I arrived, I was greeted by the amazing team and was immediately ready to start shopping. I was shown the new collection and was immediately inspired. Seasalt definitely understands its own aesthetic, which makes creating whole outfits rather simple.

The color palette is primarily made up of shades of red, yellow, blue, and white. Considering the stock and range of sizes that Seasalt carries, I could not wait to see what outfits I could pull together before the event began. With all the products neatly displayed, it was really easy to shop and full of outfit possibilities!

I was excited to wear anything I could get my hands on and wanted to show a bit of the variety that Seasalt offers. With shoes and scarves and bags and socks… Seasalt was my oyster and I couldn’t have been happier with my choices.

My first outfit:

  • Albert Quay Crops (Salt)

  • Headsail (Baranlofy Whirl)

  • Floral Feet Socks (Bees Hay)

  • New Everyday Scarf (Buttercup Border Hay)

What I love about this entire outfit was how comfortable it is! The Albert Quay crops are a great alternative to jeans and very breathable. I am absolutely in love with the Headsail Top because of how soft it is! The gorgeous white, blue, and yellow stripes make me feel spring has sprung. I also like how practical this top was for spring because it is thinner than a jumper and also is perfect for those windier days. Because the top is mainly blue, I decided to finish off this outfit with yellow accessories. The scarf and socks match perfectly! This outfit is perfect for a cool day out and about.

My second outfit:

  • Short-Sleeved Mill Pool Dress (Craft Flower Marine)

  • Floral Feet Socks (Bees Hay)

  • Sea Dance Cropped Leggings (Orca)

I could honestly live in this dress. When looking at it on the hanger, I did not expect it to fit as well as it does. Proportioned as I am, I was worried about the fit immediately. But the length is perfect and the dress tapers in a bit.

PLUS IT HAS POCKETS. Any dress with pockets instantly is better than a dress without pockets. I wouldn’t usually style a dress with leggings, but the leggings were nice because it was deceptively cold outside the evening of the shopping event.

With help of the Seasalt team, I chose these gorgeous yellow socks for a fun pop of colour. The entire outfit just makes me smile and instantly improves my mood.

After putting on the socks and the dress, I knew I had to have the entire outfit and literally had someone take the tags off so I could take this ensemble home with me!

Happy Spring and happy shopping, loves! What do you need for your spring wardrobe?

Be sure to check out Seasalt Cornwall! There is a new collection every month and they have an amazing size range (UK 6-26).
