RISE AND SHINE LIVING YORK

York’s an incredible city. It’s something that I will probably be saying for the rest of my life, whether or not I’m actually in this beloved city or not. But what makes York so special is the people. I couldn’t think of a better city to explore on Small Business Saturday.

My great find this week was Rise and Shine Living York.

I first came across them on Instagram while they were setting up their York shop, and I had been dying to go visit since they opened about three weeks prior.

What started as one woman selling at the South Malton Market in Devon has become two shops: Rise and Shine Living Devon and Rise and Shine Living York. And what a beautiful shop they have created in York!

Filled with gifts, beauty, and homeware, I do believe that there’s something to fit everyone’s taste in Rise and Shine Living York.

What I love most about it is that so many products are from local and independent artists and brands. And the handful of things that aren’t are all about sustainable living and being eco-friendly.

TROPIC LAUNCH

The reason that I visited Rise and Shine Living York was actually for the launch of Tropic, a skincare brand that has been taking the beauty market by storm.

Using all fresh ingredients, this brand makes skincare and beauty products that are 100% cruelty free, vegan, ethically sourced, natural, and made in the United Kingdom. And it’s affordable!

Now you’ll be able to pop into Rise and Shine Living York, check out the products, and order your own new skincare regimen.  There’s a product for every skin type and every person’s needs. I know that I’ll definitely be needing to soon!

Thank you so much to the amazing, talented, and kind team at Rise and Shine Living York for inviting me to the launch of Tropic at your lovely shop. It was an information filled evening and I enjoyed meeting you all so much!

I truly do believe in shopping independently, and I am trying to be more sustainable and eco-friendly. While it may be convenient to grab a coffee, it’s important to know your own impact on the planet. So if carrying a reusable cup can even make a small difference, then I think it’s worth it.

How are you trying to be more sustainable and eco-friendly?
