FRAULEIN MARIA ONCE SAID, “LET’S START AT THE VERY BEGINNING. A VERY GOOD PLACE TO START.”
So for my first post. I thought what better way than to introduce myself! It seemed a good enough place to start as any. So, let’s cover the basics:
My name is Gabbi Kramer. I have a wide variety of interests, and I delight in sitting in cafes and talking about those interests (which include fashion, history, literature, beauty, etc.).
10 FACTS ABOUT ME
If you couldn’t tell from the first line of my post, I love The Sound of Music. In fact, I love most musical theatre. But my childhood was characterized by watching The Sound of Music and listening to the highlights from The Phantom of the Opera.
I am the oldest of four children and my youngest sibling is 20 years younger than me. A favorite past-time with my siblings is driving around after midnight, getting milkshakes + french fries while having deep conversations about life.
I love to organize things. More often than not, my planner is tucked away in my bag. In fact, it is because of my scheduling abilities (and my need to constantly be busy) that I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in three years with a Bachelor’s degree in History.
I am getting my Masters in Medieval Studies at the University of York. Not what you were expecting, hm? But York is the absolute perfect place to study!
When at a cafe, I usually order a cappuccino. Sometimes I like to get fancy and change up the kind of milk or add in some flavored syrup, but it seems pretty difficult to make a bad cappuccino.
I’m a sucker for period dramas. Blame it on my love of ‘classic’ literature and history. Every time there’s a new BBC or Masterpiece drama out… I’m prepared to binge-watch it.
My favorite pizza topping is pineapple.
When there’s a low-stake decision that needs to be made, don’t ask me because I’m super indecisive. In times of pressure, I’m super cool and prepared to make quick decisions. But the minute you ask me where we should go eat or what cafe we should study in… I don’t have an answer for you. I’ll likely give you a handful of options in hopes that you’ll choose instead.
Back home in the States, my family has two dogs and three cats. So, I guess I’m both a dog person and a cat person.
I started my ‘fashion’ Instagram because my friends thought I should. I have always loved clothes and some people in my life think I tend to overdress at times. My mom once refused to buy me a gown because: “You’d wear it to go get coffee in, Gabbi.” And, honestly, she’s not wrong. This habit and my interest in fashion has led me to follow numerous celebrities and bloggers. And suddenly (after hours working on the name), Delicately Debonair was born.
